Honestly, most horror movies in my opinion are pretty bad because they fail to scare me. They have weak plots and terrible acting and nothing is believable. I hadn't planned on watching this but this looks really well done. The bit with the dolls really got to me. And you know what? Dan actually looks really good as well. He looks a lot older here; you would never guess he was Harry Potter for ten years because of how old he looks. Heck, you wouldn't even know that it was Daniel Radcliffe! I wish they'd let him keep this longish hair for the HP films or at least hadn't given him those crappy short hair cuts from OotP onwards. Anyways, for the first time in my life, Dan kind of looks appealing to me, which is a huge deal for someone like me, and less like an awkward hobbit. Which also makes me wonder, if this film was able to successfully age him without too much show/dramatic make up, then why did a big budget movie studio like WB fail on that the first time?

Edit: You know for him wanting to do a movie that's different from HP, there are certain aspects that are similar to it, especially in terms of it being something supernatural. The writing on the wall, along with that shot of him running through the forest reminded me eerily of Chamber of Secrets and Half Blood Prince.

As with my above opinion, horror movies are one genre I normally avoid, but I agree with you! In fact, have room for one more? I'll go with you.
