Daisy approached the wand-weighing center, looking wide awake despite the early hour - she had already been up for a few hours caring for her window boxes and indoor herb garden - but not all that pleased. Wand-weighing was certainly not her favorite part of the day, but she understood the necessity.
"Hello there," she said as pleasantly as she could and setting her bag down on the floor against her leg. She drew her wand, as pale and thin as the day she had gotten it, from the folds of her robe. The woman behind the counter was not someone she recognized. "Are you new here?" Daisy asked while holding out her wand, her grip somewhat tighter than required. Handing over her wand to someone else hardly ever gave Daisy a good feeling, even though she did it every morning.
"Yeah," said Sapphira. She saw the wand, and was a bit surprised that there wouldn't let their wand being weighed by an unknown person. She's not the only one, thank goodness.
"So, err, may I borrow your wand for just 4 minutes, and may I also have your name and reason of being here?"
She prepared a quill and the fresh card that Gabe gave her.
