Uhm...Ouch? What was that? Seriously? Was that supposed to make her feel better? Was she supposed to accept that as a substitute to him 'wanting to kiss her'. Because that was not what Ellie got from it. She got that he had been torn between herself and this other girl. And he had to go as far as kissing her to tell. He'd risked their whatever they had going just to find out about his feelings for this other girl.
She supposed the fact that he only thought of this girl as a 'sister' was what made it all okay. But it didn't work. Ellie didn't have to go kissing Spike and Conan to know she only thought of them as 'little brothers'.
"Funny." Not. She didn't find that funny at all. It didn't even make sense. Why would he have to go to that step for the other girl, but not for her? Ellie wasn't looking at him anymore, but the LOOKS she was giving the floor were intended for Treyen.
Better subjects now, yeah? Oh. Ellie pitied him, honestly. Summer with LOLA? UGH. She will NOT be taking these months away from that girl for granted. She shrugged, "I enjoy reading about subjects I care about." Like Quidditch. And Treyen's summer. Plus, she should have more than enough time on her hands. His letters would be nice to fill it with.
Ellie wasn't saying anything on the matter. That was terrifying. And his heart was racing faster than before...she may have misunderstood him. Of course, she didn't trust him either.
He turned to face her, but she was looking at the floor.
"I didn't mean it like that," he started to say, and real quick too,
"I..I shouldn't be able to talk," but this he said mostly to himself, he didn't even realize he'd said so aloud.
"I make everything worse, don't I?" he sighed, leaning against the seat, and closing his eyes for a moment. He WAS a complete idiot. Speech was not his forte.
But he didn't say anything else. He knew it was all ruined, but he didn't want to make it even worse.
She what? Oh, of course, subjects she liked. Very few ones, then.
"Then I shouldn't write at all...," a small smile on his face,
"...because you won't find one word related to Quidditch in there." She didn't know, but he wanted nothing to do with the sport...Vindictus was probably safe, because lessons could be the only exception. Not even the Stands, he wasn't going anywhere near those.
