BUT...the reason why he closed his mouth was another one. There was something that he knew to be true, and it may give an answer to this ridiculous cycle of words. Admitting, wanting, trust. So, he sat down, next to Ellie, well, next to the little bag that contained the Snitch. "Maybe you're right..., but he continued to talk quickly after that, "...I think I could admit that I wanted to know how I felt about her...and the kiss just happened to be the means to it...," he was slightly confused about his relationship with Kurumi until that kiss happened, "No, I do admit that I wanted to know what my feelings were toward her...now I know that I like her as a sister, though," and all this time he'd been looking at the wall in front of them, if only he'd been completely and fully honest with Salander, then he wouldn't have been in this mess to begin with, "I can admit that, but I can't do the same for the 'wanting to kiss her' part." The kiss was just the means to figure it all out. Sadly.

Treyen did smile, one of his usual smiles, as he noticed something else, "Funny. I didn't have to kiss you to find out how I felt about you," he said, looking at her. And that was completely true. It only took Arya's help to figure it out, and one glimpse at Dallin dancing with Ellie.

Wait, something interesting to write? He chuckled. "I'm spending my majority of summer with Lola Jones, more-than-interesting happenings are meant to happen. But don't worry, I'll keep my writing short...is not like you do enjoy reading that much," and he winked. It almost felt as if, for an instant, everything was right in the world.

Ellie was pretty confused when he sat. Mostly because, in her experience, that meant he was comfortable with the situation. When he was uncomfortable, he'd usually do the opposite, and stand. But she shifted in her seat to better see him.

Uhm...Ouch? What was that? Seriously? Was that supposed to make her feel better? Was she supposed to accept that as a substitute to him 'wanting to kiss her'. Because that was not what Ellie got from it. She got that he had been torn between herself and this other girl. And he had to go as far as kissing her to tell. He'd risked their whatever they had going just to find out about his feelings for this other girl.

She supposed the fact that he only thought of this girl as a 'sister' was what made it all okay. But it didn't work. Ellie didn't have to go kissing Spike and Conan to know she only thought of them as 'little brothers'.

"Funny." Not. She didn't find that funny at all. It didn't even make sense. Why would he have to go to that step for the other girl, but not for her? Ellie wasn't looking at him anymore, but the LOOKS she was giving the floor were intended for Treyen.

Better subjects now, yeah? Oh. Ellie pitied him, honestly. Summer with LOLA? UGH. She will NOT be taking these months away from that girl for granted. She shrugged, "I enjoy reading about subjects I care about." Like Quidditch. And Treyen's summer. Plus, she should have more than enough time on her hands. His letters would be nice to fill it with.
