As for Greece, well, the family had spent half a year on the Island of Santorini when she was tiny, something to do with Vampires apparently, and she didn't remember.
Aurora raised an eyebrow, "I could make you sunshiny..." And all of a sudden that was too funny to keep a straight face. She burst into laughter. "Though I suppose you'd probably wither and die if I attacked you with bright clothes." she grinned. She doubted his Father would disown him, it was only a colour.
Dress robes. Boys always hated dress robes."I like dress robes. They make people look smart." and attractive... she thought. "And I'm not sure what they'd say. Aren't muggle clothes a bit... boring for you? And much less fancy." Boring old muggles.
She grinned. "Well then, if there is a ball next year and neither of us have anyone to go with then we shall go together. Okay?" she said. She'd like to see Mordred in dress robes, she had the feeling he was the kind of person who really suited looking smart...
Aurora raised her eyebrows, boys really thought about that sort of thing? "Now, don't say that. Weren't you the one telling me not to give up before?" she asked. "If you think of yourself as interesting and mysterious then I'm sure you'll find someone. All you need is confidence." she said. Yup, confidence helped. "But don't turn it into arrogance." she added. Eugh, arrogant boys needed a good hard slap.
"They're cool aren't they?" she popped another squealing Jelly Baby into her mouth. "I get my sister to order them from Germany for me. They're from this cute little sweetshop in Wurzburg - the best Jelly Babies in the world!" she said, grinning.
It has been their family’s tradition to bring home presents for friends when they travel. Not that Mordred was obliged to buy one, but Aurora was (after all) one of his few first friends in Hogwarts. It will be embarrassing to not buy her a present.
“Er. I can’t even imagine myself sunshiny.” It really was a funny picture. Aurora laughed so hard at the thought, even Mordred can’t stop himself from laughing.
“I’ll be a terrible looking yellow flower. It’s just sad.” He said in between laughs.
Mordred looked at Aurora in disbelief.
“Of course you girls like dress robes. Puffy. glittery, shiny dress robes.” He said shaking his head.
“Don’t you ever get tired of choosing which to wear? Mum does that a lot. She’d try something on, takes it off, and tries another….and that goes on for hours.” Mordred said with exasperation.
“Good thing Twilfit’s got great couches. Mum always catches us dozing off.” He said, dreading that he might go back there soon. If there will be a ball next year, he was sure his mother would drag him to that store and make him try half of its contents.
Mordred nodded in agreement to Aurora’s proposal, although he was almost sure she’d get herself a date. Sure, he can fly solo – but if everyone’s getting a date, he doesn’t want to be left behind.
“So am I interesting?” he challenged her. But Aurora was right. He shouldn’t give up easily, especially on himself. Confidence? He is a confident young boy—but not with the girls. There’s just something about them that he’s scared of.
“You mean to say that Wurzburg is their local version of Hogsmeade? Or Diagon Alley? If so, I’d like to visit it next.” Why did he not think of that earlier? Germany sounds interesting, and he knew Durmstrang’s near that country.
