His mouth opened slightly at Neptune's next words. He was her best friend? Really? A small smile formed on his lips. He wouldn't have expected that at all. "You see! What kind of best friend would I be if I just left when you were just fine! This time I'm not going to listen to you Neptune. I'm not leaving." Not until everything was GOOD and maybe even perfect with her.

"That IS a priority," Neptune agreed, sad and happy all at once that Legend didn't look at her hand like she was crazy. She laced her fingers through his, then tugged herself a weeee bit closer to him. "Don't die. And don't change." Not even his barbaric rock throwing ways.

"It doesn't work out that way... because ... it just never does. Everything always turns out SO complicated." Which was a vague way of summing of why Katie would be mad, and why Neptune and Legend's friendship was more or less doomed.

"You'd be a smart best friend. And when have you ever listened to me? I think you not listening to me is half of why we're friends." Neptune smiled back and tightened her grip on his hand. "You have to leave though. She hates me, and if she knows about the kiss and the crush and things, I guess she has a right."

Neptune DID understand her perspective, too, in a way. She'd struggled with ... another Ravenclaw's... girlfriends .... for years now. Neptune just did a better job at not causing scenes about it.

"You should tell her why you told me all that stuff, I think. It really is all my fault...So don't let her blame you."
