Reaching an empty compartment in the middle of the mauve-and-black, coal-chugging steamer that was the Hogwarts Express, the curly-topped teen dropped his trunk onto the carpeted floor with a thunk, causing Bree to hop onto a seat and glare at her weakling of an owner.

After a few more minutes passed, comprised of a struggle attempting to toss the heavy trunk onto the luggage rack near the ceiling while Bree made a game of slinking around his ankles, Theodore flopped down into a seat in the center of one of the cushioned benches, heaving a sigh and wiping his brow. This was it; one more summer and one more year until adulthood, it seemed. The idea was nearly incomprehensible.
Alfie felt as though she was one of the last to board the train, having had a difficult time getting her bluebird Jay into his cage that morning. It seemed that, like the little Ravenclaw herself, Jay wasn't all that enthusiastic to be leaving Hogwarts that day. So it took a good ten minutes of chasing him about the dormitory before she was able to convince the bird into his cage, leaving just barely enough time to grab her bag and rush to the train before it left. Shuffling down the train's carpeted corridor, her long light blonde hair flowing behind her in a flurry, she was speed walking towards the back of the train in the attempt of finding someone she knew. She had already accidentally walked past Theo's compartment when she glanced down to find that she was holding an empty cage! Blue eyes widening, she stopped in her tracks, dread washing over her as she concluded the worst; Jay had disappeared! He was gone forever!

Luckily for the girl, her bluebird had not disappeared off the planet, but rather escaped his own cage as they passed Theo without realizing it. Jay had seen the boy in the window of the compartment and had taken it upon himself to go greet him. The bluebird, like his owner, rather liked the boy. Catching sight of a flurry of blue, Alfie immediately turned around and followed after it, worry still displayed on her expression. She reached the compartment door she had seen Jay slip through, and pushed it open further with honest worry on her normally calm features. "I-I'm so sorry, but have you seen--" she started, only to cut herself off as her large blue eyes drifted up to see the sole inhabitant of the compartment she'd just entered. Theo!

"Theo!" Alfie's expression lit up in a warm smile, amusement falling into her features as she then caught sight of Jay, who was currently perched atop Theo's shoulder. "You found him," she observed in a soft, breathless chuckle, relief washing over her expression as she leaned up against the compartment's doorframe, obviously tired out from her morning jog over to the train and the recent missing bluebird scare.
