Hiccuping slightly, she laughed and then grabbed Brae's hand. Then she got up and jumped onto the table, dragging Brae with her, butterbeer 'stache and all.

"I left the South, I traveled North," She sang in her screechy, sounds-like-a-whale-dying voice (as Brae had taken care to tell her one day), raising her hands in time. "I got confused, I killed a horse.." Ruby Blair was jamming to a Smith's song on the Gryffindor House table with Braeden Stonem, completely oblivious to the hundreds of students who looked on. Take pictures people, cause you're gonna need proof of this one.

"I can't help the way that I feeeeel."
As Ruby began to sing along with him, Braeden's eyes widened further, if that was even possible at this point. NO. WAY. Ruby knew The Smiths?! And she knew this song?! It most certainly wasn't one of their most popular pieces…

COULD THE WORLD BE ANY MORE PERFECT RIGHT NOW!?
Insert another "Is this the real life?!" expression on Braeden's face here.
It… it… it was so beautiful! His fiery redheaded Lioness was singing along to one of his favourite songs in her banshee-like singing voice, and… and… he just couldn't be prouder!

Grinning lopsidedly to himself like the big doof he was, Braeden watched admiringly as the girl continued singing, and it wasn't long before he was joining in, singing along with her in his own not-so-very-ear-drum-friendly singing voice.

And next thing the Gryffindork knew, his feet had left the floors of the Great Hall and were now instead on the table, kicking the plate he'd filled with food earlier aside (oops, there goes a first year's face) as he moved clumsily on the table, arms up in the air as he continued to sing dramatically (most Morrissey-like), "Oh yes, you can kick me… and you can punch me, and you can break my face, but you won't change the way I feeeeeeeel…" It was almost like he was singing to the girl, which was rather ironic seeing as the lyrics of the song were so freakishly accurate when it came to describing Braeby's abnormal friendship.
