Simon tried his best not to get overly emotional about this moment. The time he said goodbye to all he had learned and all he knew to take the first real step into the world beyond. Oh what he wouldn't give to be allowed more time no matter how foolish it seemed to want to cling to his school days. His steps were slow and delibrate as he stepped into the Great Hall amongst the students already there, a package held in his hand for the one person he wouldn't be able to catch on the train. The seventh years' eyes were flicking around the large room, taking in everything there, from familiar faces to the surroundings that he would soon miss.
