He was out of his mind thinking that Mr. Harper would allow him to move in with them. They were a nice family... but he was Violet's boyfriend. That was that.
Christopher found it rather agitating that Selina wasn't bothered in the least that people were being judged and facing prejudice because of their blood status. Didn't she care about justice at all?
"Selina, things don't have to be that way! Have you seen my mother? She raised me, and I'm not like her! Not at all!" he said, determined to prove his point.
She thinks anyone that's different deserves to be punished by death. She gave birth to and raised Elyon. Need I say more? Just because you were raised a certain way, that doesn't mean you can't have your own ideas about things."
Christopher took up a blush and gave a nervous laugh. He was really uncomfortable when she said that Violet was madly in love with him. It just felt so wrong. He wasn't even sure what love was, he was only fourteen years old for goodness sake's! It made the boy think of how much he was putting her though, and that he was dragging her down. He was so afraid Vi's dad would hate him, and that was
before he'd have to go to the funeral.
