"OH!"
The Gryffindork jumped in his seat in surprise as he felt the butterbeer drip all over the hand that held the goblet. He'd been distracted and failed to notice the goblet was already full. With a sheepish grin, he handed Ruby the goblet and proceeded to wipe his hand clean before taking a large gulp of butterbeer. Straight from the jug.
Well, what was he supposed to do?! Keep pouring it into the goblet 23647 more times?! Nahhh, he'd just save himself time and drink it straight from the source. Besides, the jug was magical and re-filled itself, so that no matter how much the boy took, its contents were always the same.
Setting the jug down a bit sloppily, causing some of the liquid inside to splash out onto the table, Braeden burped obnoxiously.
"Oh, sorry…" He smiled to himself like a little boy, and turned to Ruby as the girl nudged him, unaware of the butterbeer mustache that now graced his upper lip, making him look like some much older mature man from the 1920s. Or something. "Yes, m'dear?" His brown eyes suddenly widened. "Hey… do you hear that?!" Had the butterbeer given him magically acute hearing?! He could've sworn he'd just heard music, but, as he looked around, he saw no one in the Great Hall had any music playing from anywhere.
Maybe he was going crazy?

…… Nahhhhh.
As Brae drank straight from the butterbeer jug, Ruby stared at the little lion. And just when you thought she was going to yell at him for doing something as gross as that, she...laughed. Yes, Ruby Blair laughed at Brae for drinking from the jug. Then, looking from the jug to her own goblet, she grinned sneakily at the goofball. Once he was done drinking, the redhead took the jug from him and took a huge gulp herself. After Brae had already out his disgusting mouth alllll over it. YEAH.
Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand carelessly, Ruby ignored his apologies for the burp, giggling like a 5 year old instead.
"Chu so funneh, Brae," She said, poking him with her finger. When he answered her, she opened her mouth to ask the boy to pass the rolls, please--but he started talking again. Ruby strained her ears for the music but heard nothing.
"What mu--" She started to ask but just then, she heard it. Grinning widely again, she nodded vigorously.
"Chyeaaahh, I hear it!" She said gaily, swaying her head to the beat. But what song was it? While she thought, she took another chug of butterbeer--straight from the Brae-infested jug, of course. Man, this was the best--two lions enjoying a good drink and listening to some tunes.
This was the way to live at Hogwarts.
