It was almost as if her lungs were on fire.

After a few minutes, they both seemed to calm down, and thank heavens for that because really she wasn't sure how much more of it she could handle standing up. "MMmmm yep... I suppose its just an indication of how... equal we are. Though I'm not in a hurry to do it again." Thinking about it now, she seemed to be in more pain than when she'd had her round with Izzy, and even when she was pummelled by Bradley. But she'd survive, probably pulled a muscle, or bruised it... nothing too serious. Or so she hoped, she couldn't be too sure, she wasn't studying to be a Healer or anything.

Huh? Was she ok?
Emily blinked, a blank expression on her face. Partly because she was trying to figure out if she was ok, and partly because she didn't want to seem weak.
"I think I'm ok..." she said pausing, rubbing her chest a bit. Ouch! Ok... maybe rubbing it wasn't such a good idea.
"I'll be fine... I think I broke a rib." That wasn't so serious was it? She'd had them before, what with all her quidditch injuries. All she had to do was find herself a Healer and all would be fine.
It was nice to simply let it out and just laugh, especially after the ordeal they had put each other through. However, laughter and whether or not they would be doing this again were the very last things on his mind given the confession Emily made of her wounds.

In an instant his hand was at her shoulder and he was half guiding her, half tugging her to one of the toppled pillars to sit down. Concern stole onto every corner of his expression as he watched her. "I didn't mean to actually hurt you...." The admission was all but pointless given he had hurt her, and it was riddled with guilt.
