Marilyn's train of thought stopped abruptly as she crashed into his back. Her hands darted out to grab onto something before she made the ungraceful fall to the floor. Carter was the only thing close and the blonde grabbed a fistful of his shirt, steadying herself. Muttering a quick apology, her eyes sought out the problem.

"Hmm...I'm guessing battle of Hogwarts..." She added.

Carter turned on her and was saying those words...He'd been thinking about it. She exhaled slowly, trying to calm the giddiness of finding a new place...and the satisfaction of hearing him say that he'd been thinking about it, too. "I mean, in a good way...I try not to think about...the bad parts."

...Not that there had been many bad parts. In reality, Carter and Marilyn had had a great relationship. No fighting, no bickering. "I just miss how easy things use to be." with you...

She was biting that lip again...Chewing on it, really. Her poor lip...

Carter was apparently not the only one not paying attention because Marilyn soon ran into him. He shrugged looking at the wall of rock. "It could be even earlier." He doubted that there was a record. This place was kind of away from everything else. He doubted whether people even knew there was a mirror back here.

He continued staring at the wall as she talked. She thought about him... in a good way. He couldn't help but wonder if she was possibly thinking that same thing he was. Perhaps... they ended prematurely?

"Easy... because we were kids...? Or easy... because we were good together...?" he asked. The answer to that question made all the difference in the world. He wasn't sure whether or not there was a clear distinction between the two. He, himself, couldn't distinguish them. But, on the other hand, they seemed to be getting along just fine recently. So maybe it had nothing to do with their age?

He dared another look at her. She was biting her lip. He remembered that she used to do that. He'd always thought it was cute. ~~And it usually meant that she wanted to be doing something else with them... And considering the current conversation, he guessed yelling was not on her mind.~~
