He sat next to her, looked around a little before he said,"I bet you got something in your eye right? Or your eyes were leaking?", there was a warmth in his voice that was sincere. He knew she was hurting but for her sake he tried to keep normality in play so she didn't sink to an unreachable place.
"Please be honest with me Caroline, how are you holding up?" he asked, looking at her with genuine concern. He had an nudge to comfort her as much as she would allow.
Caroline did smile, slightly. she shook her head.
"Yeah, someone thing like that." Really back in the corridor to the courtyard she must have gotten some dust in her eyes. But like anyone would believe that. She now joined the tomatoes into the poking with the folk. Only this time the poor tomatoes were getting squeshed.
She contined to poke the salad. She stopped finally.
"Honestly?" She dropped her folk on the table. she shook her head.
"Not well. I.... I just..... I dont know. I dont know what to think anymore." The dust in her eye was back She picked up the folk and started taking it out on the salad again.
"I told him about Africa." She sniffled.
