He laughed again as he crept forward with his wand held high. "Well, I had to be put in Gryffindor for a reason." he said with a smirk. If there was one thing he was good at it was doing idiotic things first.
He was extremely aware of how dark it was. All of a sudden he was grateful for the darkness. "So. What were you asking me about earlier?" he asked deciding to cash in on the situation. "If I've ever... thought about the past?" Since it was dark he'd be able to hide whatever reaction he had to what she had meant by the question.
Marilyn gave Carter a look and then followed him into the darkness.
"I suppose I'm just as foolish for following. Curiosity did kill the cat, you know..." She bite her lip. It wasn't really that she was scared of dark, cramped places...It was being scared of the unknown.
"I must say, you are being very Gryffindorish right now." As they were engulfed by black with just Carter's wand tip, something became immediately apparent to the blonde. In turn, Marilyn smacked herself in the forehead. Literally.
She had forgotten her wand....

Not mentioning it because the blonde felt entirely stupid...
and hoping he hadn't heard her smack herself...she focused on his question...Why had she asked?
"Well...you know...when we were together?" Marilyn was so glad Carter could not see her face...because if the heat was any indication, she was tomato red.
"...I was curious...You know, because I've...um, been thinking about it."
