Chapter 5
‘Ooh!’ Lindsey and Holly cheered.
‘Yes!’ Ben said, punching the air and losing his balance, only to be pushed back on by a… Squid?
‘What was that!?’ Holly said, scared as her hair turned dangerously red.
‘WOAH!’ Ben shouted.
‘Metamorsinthas’ Lindsey said matter-of-factly.
‘Metamorphagus!’ Holly laughed at Lindsey’s failed attempt to pronounce it, then her hair changed back to blond as she laughed.
‘OK….?’ Ben laughed. ‘And that means you can change your appearance by will, right?’
‘Right!‘ Holly laughed
Lindsey laughed too, happy to have found some friends.
The boat touched the shore and the trio were about to jump off, but the rude girl pushed them aside and Lindsey nearly fell in, only to be grabbed by Ben, whose face had gone dangerously red, while Holly leapt off and ran to confront the girl. ‘Oi! You! You just pushed her!’ Holly fumed
‘So? It’s only a Mudblood!’ the girl laughed cruelly, as she walked off.
‘Don’t listen to her, Lindsey!’ Ben told her. 'You're twice what she is!' Ben said, going pink in the face.
They jumped onto the shore and headed to Hogwarts, Lindsey not feeling assured that it was just because she was a Muggleborn that amde the girl angry.
