Alan Rickman literally blew me away and he is literally my acting idol. He definitely deserves an Oscar for his truly heart-breaking and spell-binding performance as the broken, dying Snape. Emma Watson showed a brave and slightly reckless side to Hermione. Rupert Grint again showed a braver Ron with those humourous moments we all love. Even Daniel Radcliffe, who is usually wooden and cringeworthy at best (from an acting point of view), was actually commendable and enjoyable to watch, showing great depth of emotion. "Not my daughter, you *****" was brilliant and I whooped and cheered, as did I for Neville killing Nagini. King's Cross and the Epilogue were pretty much word for word from the book and brilliantly portrayed.
I am slightly disappointed they left out Dumbledore's backstory but it didn't take *too* much away from the movie, just meant some parts were unclear. Ron and Hermione kissing; well I'll be honest, I wanted to see some more lip action, but only saw heads, which I've come to expect from the rubbish kisses in these movies (except Harry/Hermione in DH1). The beginning was slow because of the lack of action and David Yates' propensity to ruin scenes made mostly of dialogue and of little action. Everything is slow and softly spoken, and the lack of energy in these less tense scenes at the beginning, much like most of Part 1, is slightly tedious. Where Yates excels is in intense emotion and high action.
A brilliant end to the saga. All things considered, I'm pretty sure I couldn't've asked for a better conclusion to my childhood.
