Kurumi swallowed as she listened to Professor Hadley describe the Heart’s Desire Number. While she had just read about it in her textbook, the weight of the number seemed to grow heavier and heavier as it was described out loud. Like it became more real.

...describes your secret thoughts and wishes - what you long for in your heart of hearts and what is your dearest desire...

That sounded...intense... o__________O

"Y-You use the Pythagorean Number System to assign the proper number value to each vowel of your full name - first, middle and last." She paused for a moment. She didn't have a middle name...would that be problematic? "Then you add and reduce until you get a single digit root number."

Kurumi looked down at her parchment for a moment as she jotted down a few notes.

SPOILER!!: Kurumi's parchment

Arithmancy Lesson III - First Vowel, Cornerstone, and Capstone
Kurumi Hollingberry // Gryffindor // third year

The Heart's Desire Number
Describes your secret thoughts and wishes - what you long for in your heart of hearts and what is your dearest desire. This number tells describes your heart's desire, your true motivation, what you love best, what you need to feed your soul, and what you value most.

Calculated by assigning the proper number value to each vowel in your full name using the Pythagorean Number System and adding the numbers together and reducing them down to a single digit.

K U R U M I H O L L I N G B E R R Y
2 3 9 3 4 9 8 6 3 3 9 5 7 2 5 9 9 7

Would the "Y" matter for these calculations? Kurumi figured that results could be very different depending on whether or not it was included. Perhaps it implied that those with Y's and W's in their names were undecided on the true nature of the heart's desire?
