Iris was a little sad. This was going to be her last proper Arithmancy lesson ever in Hogwarts. It was her favourite class, too...

She walked into the classroom, rather sadly. She didn't want it to be her last ever Arithmancy lesson! Not even the pretty smells and flowers cheered her up. Iris was finally starting to accept that her time at Hogwarts was nearly up.

Trying to smile at Professor Hadley, Iris made her way to the front of the class. She dropped her bag on a seat on the front row and tried to look cheerful. "Mornin' Professor.... The classroom looks pretty today..." At least she had her NEWTs to look forward to. Well, that is assuming that Borr was going to reinstate them at the last minute.

She turned around and went to sit down at the table she'd just dropped her bag on. The blonde had taken out her journal and quills before she'd noticed the silvery-while carnation on the desk. ... What's this for? She wondered. Looking around, Iris saw that the other three students in the room also had coloured carnations on the desk. A Fellow Snake had a silvery-white one like her, and the two Lions had red ones. The glow on the flowers really was peculiar... and all of the other flowers on the empty desks were just regular carnations. No glow to those... Odd.
