Hogwarts RPG Name: Auden Azarolla Ravenclaw First Year | *waves* <.< >,> v.v ^,^! Dark eyes gazed out beneath long eyelashes, brightening as they watched one student after another discover the Sorting Hat. Oooh, this was so exciting.
Slim hands clasped behind her back, the Ravenclaw prefect resisted the urge to mouth along with their riddle almost biting her lip in the process. Rhyming had been no easy feat. It really was harder than it looked...how the Sorting Hat did it every year she'd never know.
Turning to give Fin a huge grin, she watched her fellow 'claws and could've sworn she could almost physically see the gears turning in their heads as they dawned upon the answer.
Rocking a bit on her heels, Ivy stepped beside the Sorting Hat as the first student came forward. Quote:

Hmm… the next riddle, perhaps?
She listened to the sorting hat, trying to memorize as much information as possible. After that, Gwen thought for a while, but it didn’t take long until she got an answer. Maybe it’s not the right one…, the girl doubted. But, after a while of thinking, she came to the same conclusion. It may not be the right answer, but it’s the best one I got… As the young Ravenclaw approached, Ivory gave her an encouraging smile and waited for her to suggest her answer. Aha! She'd gotten it!
Taking the two colored maps in hand, the female prefect handed over the parchments and gave her a nod of approval. "Great job!" she chimed with a grin. "Now all you have to do is follow the map." Yup, X would mark the spot for the next task. Quote:

Just then, it started talking. Dal groaned quietly. More riddles? And this one was a long one, too! All the same though, he listened carefully. He was too curious about what they were looking for to give up now. He leaned against a book shelf and thought. And thought some more. And some more. He went over every line that he could remember from the hat's riddle in his head. Was it just because they were Ravenclaws that they were getting all these riddles? Maybe the riddles to get into the common room were supposed to help them. Or something.
After a few minutes Dal pushed himself away from the bookshelf and walked over to the hat. He thought he had the right answer, but he wasn't entirely sure. Taking a deep breath when it was his turn he walked over to the sorting hat and whispered his answer to it. Turning back towards the next student, Ivory couldn't help the widening of her smile as she noticed who it was. Unable to resist, she brought up a slim hand in a cheery wave as Dal approached. Merlin, she hadn't talked to him in ages. Making a mental note to fix that she got back to the task at hand.
With a small lean forward to catch the whispered tone, the fifth year gave him a small nod as she saw the Sorting Hat give a twitch of approval. "Fantastic!" she exclaimed softly as she handed over the two halves he'd chosen and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "See ya' at the..." Whoo, good catch there. She'd almost let the location of the next task go. With a small wink she continued. "-at the end!" Quote:

"By gum!" Eino exclaimed right before he noticed the colored maps. However, before he could approach them, the Sorting Hat began to speak. Aww, why wasn't it singing? Eino liked it when it sang, but he applauded the hat nonetheless, when it concluded its speech. He looked at both of his friends, then at Sir Toby, who seemed to know the answer but refused to help Eino. He scratched his head, pulled his hair, played with his eyelashes, counted his fingers and toes, then finally realized what the answer was. He then approached the Sorting Hat, and after waiting for Sir Toby to whisper his answer to the hat, Eino whispered his. He then took a step back and closed his eyes and he waited for the hat's reply. Why....was that applause!?!?
Eyes widening happily, Ivory beamed, positively beamed at the boy. If there were looks that could kill, then logically there were those that could do just the opposite. That's how charmed she was that there was someone who appreciated the difficulty of a riddle. Of course, she was also charmed at how he used just about everything on his body to determine the answer.
By the time the boy came forward to whisper his reply to the Sorting Hat, the Ravenclaw prefect was almost hopping to hand over his map. Because OF COURSE he'd gotten it correctly. Eyelashes don't lie you see. True story.
Nodding almost simultaneously with the Hat, Ivy deposited the parchment in his hands. "Awesome sauce! Good job and good luck!"
OOC: Hey guys ^,^ If you could pm both of us your replies that'd be great I'll edit in replies to this post afterwards no worries.
