Oh, well. Taking a cookie out of the pile on the table, he munched on it thoughtfully as his fellow colleagues spoke up. He frowned at some of them, and downright stared at a few. From what he'd gathered, Lord Borr wasn't one of the more popular Ministers around, especially in his own country, but to see all this blatant insubordination? His eyes flickered to Mrs. Latorta, wondering what she'd say.
Perhaps he should also contribute something? "Or," he said to all those who'd dismissed the idea of doing the task at hand, "since it's so simple, we could just get it done as quickly as possible and then return to our work." Not that his work was all that interesting, but he supposed the Ambassadors had a lot of their plate. Plus, he kind of agreed with Matthew but if it was the Minister's orders, then Tom would get the task done.
"How about large paintings? Serene scenery or some abstract art? I always find those calming and they usually give the illusion that the space around them is bigger than it is," Tom offered the table, then finished up his cookie before instantly grabbing another one.
