Though, not everything was last minute, because he'd asked the House-elves for a favor a while back. Algamus, the Head Elf, was totally against it, but Argyle was kind enough to accept...despite the constant complaints on Algamus' behalf. It all calmed down when Treyen mentioned he ought to take the Kitchen and cook for himself. Which actually made Algamus shush. For a moment.
Either way, Treyen walked inside holding Ellie's hand. "I kind of have a surprise for you," not a gift kind-of-surprise, just a surprise.
He led her to a small table set aside for them with two chairs, and yeah, no, that wasn't the surprise either. "Just sit." He let go of her hand, because he wasn't sitting, yet.
To be honest, the fact that it was Valentine's Day didn't phase Ellie much. She hadn't expected anything and really didn't care. But that's not to say that when she saw Treyen, she didn't get a bit excited.
Apparently something was planned. Surprises usually took a bit of planning, no?
"In the kitchen?" she asked, her eyebrow raised. Seemed a bit of a peculiar place for surprises. There was mostly only ever food in here. And battle equipment.
Ellie sat when Treyen told her to, but kept her eyes on him and that brow raised. She noticed how he wasn't sitting. Yup. And now she had that weird feeling she had at the feast...or anytime she had to look
up at him. It was just odd.
