It could've been to do with work. Maybe she shouldn't be doing this? But something was telling her that there was more to this. She frowned, looking back at him. "Do not speak to me like that! I'm your girlfriend, not some little employee of yours!" Or at least she had been his girlfriend. She didn't know how this was going to end...
