Sweet Merlin!! Was Destiny being thick on purpose or did the girl really not get what Mia was saying. She was pretty sure that she was talking in english. "Well you can be annoying." If the girl wasn't going to get sarcasm perhaps honesty was the best policy.

"Destiny slow down or let go of my hand." She didn't have the luxury of eight extra hands so she needed the two she had. The stairs were slippery and she could see herself falling down them any moment now. "It's not the rats I am worried about."
It was Destiny's annoying behaviour getting them into trouble that had her so worried.

Mia was good. Usually, if Destiny whined and threw a tantrum, she would get what she wanted. Especially from Evelyn. Although, now that she thought about it, she couldn't even remember what it was that she had wanted in the first place. But she wasn't going to mention that, instead, she gave a simple shrug of her shoulders. As if nothing happened.
She KNEW she could be annoying, and it wasn't
really her fault. Yes, Destiny was going to blame it all on Mia. She was the one who gave her those chocolate frogs after all. It didn't even matter that she had some of her own on her. Those, she didn't eat.

The answer was probably yes, considering she was practically dragging her down the creaky steps. Slowing her pace, because she was a little too scared to let go of her friend's hand, Destiny stole a quick glance over her shoulder. Not worried about the rats?
"Do you know that, in some places, there are rats as big as GOATS!? Would you be worried about them then?"
