But one perk that came with Hogwarts that made it over-the-top awesome was the food. Not just the regular food, but the dessert. When at home Nika's parents would never give her dessert. Never ever. "I love the pudding here so much! My parents never let me have pudding at home though... they think it will make me hyper." She said with a can-you-believe-that look on her face. It was preposterous! Nika hyper?! Pffttt. Never....
Know what she's doing!? Why would she need to know what she was doing!? That defeats the purpose of experimentation! "Yeah... somewhat. But if I said yes I think you would be more comfortable so I'm gonna say yes." She'll know what she's doing... once she goes and searches it on google. Samira will be like her tester. "Besides I'm sure if I do anything wrong you can always magic it back. Not like I'm going to do anything wrong cause like I said... I know what I'm doing." She said with a smile as she did a over exaggerated wink. "Pink." She said repeating the color over and over again in her mind. "On second thought, I think your more of a purple." Even though now that levi was in her life Samira was more cheerful she was still not cheerful enough for pink. No, only Nika could pull off that kind of cheerful.
Then Samira brought up a second piercing and Nika just raised an eyebrow. Where had that even come from!? Well if they were talking about changing hair, changing ears was only a step away. "I wanna get a belly button ring!" She announced. Not yelling, not shouting, not even talking, but she announced it singing. Yes she sang the words because she's just that cool.
Samira put a hand to her heart and feigned shock and surprise.
"You? Nika Pink Adler...hyper?" She shook her head dramatically.
"Oh no. Never." Okay, she was done being sarcastic now.
"Dessert actually has the opposite effect on me. If I have too much I'll feel sluggish and fat." Samira put a hand to her stomach self-conciously and took another bite of her apple. She knows she wasn't fat-not by any means-but she just didn't like the feeling.
"You should try fruit," said Samira around bites.
"Fruit is like my dessert." It was perfectly sweet and juicy. If Samira
really wanted a fruit-like dessert, she could dip it in melted chocolate or whipped cream.
Er...Samira still wasn't sure Nika knew
exactly what she was doing, but she decided to not dwell on it.
"Alright," she finally gave in.
"But I'm going to pretend I didn't hear the first part of that sentence..." Samira shrugged.
"Purple sounds good to me." Now that she thought of it, pink was a little too...preppy. Purple was almost like pink, only a little more subdued.
"Cool! Just don't forget: a few streaks only. Not overboard." Samira wanted this warning to be planted into Nika's mind like the strong roots of trees. She was not going to look like an imbecile.
Samira made a face.
"Ew...A ring on your bellybutton?" She cringed.
"I was only kidding about that, you know. I don't really want another piercing." Especially not on her bellybutton.
Ugh! "Don't those hurt, anyways?"
