Poppy scoffed at his next comment. Please. This place could use all the sparkles and unicorns in the world! Ministry of Magic? More like a graveyard! She was ready to take a seat when the man turned his attention to the girl at the door.
Mrs Pricklepot watched as the man reviewed the letter and when he looked at her she winked at him. His next words were everything Poppy was hoping for. Thank goodness! "Ooooh, a task!" She jumped up from her seat and pranced to the door without hesitation. Whatever it was, it was an excuse to get out of this funeral! Hopefully, it would take the whole meeting, and if it didn't she could always hide somewhere and return just a few minutes before it ended. Either way, she was not going to sit through this again. She waved goodbye at the gentlemen, and giggled as took the girl's (Lizzie's) arm, and left the office arm in arm with her. "Come on, darling!" She said squeezing her arm and probably intoxicating her with all her perfume she was wearing. Quote:

DARLING? No. Lizzie was not a 'darling'. She firmly detatched Prinklepickle from her arm and walked three paces ahead of the woman. That way, the smell from her perfume wasn't quite so bad. Again Hunter blinked rapidly at Poppy. Did she just...wink at him? Oh Merlin, this one was going to be trouble he could feel it in his bones. He took a deep breath and got himself together. He could handle this and Mrs Pricklepot.
Leaning back in his chair as Poppy flounced her way to the door, Hunter gave her a small wave. "We'll miss you darlin." Like a hole in the head. He gave the woman who had come down to collect Poppy a small sympathetic smile before turning his attention back to his fellow workers. Quote:

He eased in and sat at the back, not wanting to disrupt. Yet. "Right. She's quite the lively one isn't she?" he said to no one in particular and heaving a relieved sigh that the woman was out of their hair for the moment. And just in time to see a new arrival enter and take a seat.
Hunter threw the lad a smile. "Hey. How's it going?"
