Really the only thing Jacob cared about was not being kicked out of his Captain position for being out done by Simon. What Would Vindictus say?
Jacob. Captain of a Championship Ravenclaw Team, Out done by Bennett a Bottom Ranking Team Captain!
It was outrageous, complete insanity. But Jacob was a beater... he didn't run that much, he worked on strength not speed!
The Thought of being beaten by Bennett was complete nonsense... but Jacob didn't feel like working too much just to get the stupid hat. In fact, what did it matter... he went to get the hat, and Simon got it for him... Jacob could just go to the common room and let Simon do his work.
But he was still running?! Why Was His Legs Still Moving? Simon had nearly stumbled and fell more then once as he ran seeing as it wasn't easy running in their condition. If he hadn't been in a rush he might have stopped and dried himself off a little more, but turning and seeing Jacob right on his tail made him work his darndest to continue on. Maybe he could prove once and for all that just because he won last term's quidditch championship that he wasn't always the best in everything.
That would be something seeing as they always seemed to be challenging each other.
Thankfully Vindictus' office was out on the grounds and not up in one of the towers making the distance longer and more perilous for the two giving chase. Hitting the area around the pitch and their final destination, Simon sprinted the last few feet still clunching the hat. The seventh year stopping short just inches away from the door ready to knock once he caught his breath.
