Kurumi stood there, arms still crossed as she listened to his apology. She felt the sincerity in his voice, but that didn't change how uncomfortable she had felt. She took a small timid step backwards. She had told him on several occasions that he confused her. That she didn't like the feelings that were arising and that she was afraid of what was happening. Yet, he had both been listening and not listening. She knew she really didn't need to repeat herself again, but it seemed that he hadn't gotten the message the other dozen times that she had.
"You...you've been focusing on the wrong things...Connor..." she mumbled as her hands clenched into tiny fists. "You are looking for something that I can't give...and have lost sight of what is important right now... friendship..." she looked up at him with shimmering violet eyes. "I hardly feel like I know who you are..."
"I know that now Kurumi. And I want us to be friends. I'm not asking for any more than that. Just please spend some time with me as a friend." He asked. "How about we take Heather out and teach her how to ice skate?" He asked.
He waited for her response.
