But *sigh* it was back to family now. Those questions weren't too hard to answer. It was just the matter of not getting too emotional while speaking. Hopefully by now she could avoid that. "I'm an only child, so no, no siblings," she began, answering them in order. "My parents are-" She refused to say "parent" or "were" "-really great. They're both complete history geeks, which kinda rubbed off on me, I think. As for favorite relative..." Vashti wasn't sure she actually had one, but there was one that she saw the most often now, so she supposed that would count. "I guess that would be my Aunt Grace even though she's kinda...weird."
"We can whenever the professors tell us to partner or group up on something," she suggested. Well, they could sort of socialize then, in a way. Working together even on just schoolwork built friendships sometimes. "But most people watch Quidditch and cheer for their house team, right? People can socialize in the stands while watching the game." Though there was also the possibility of a rivalry forming. But it was still socializing, right?
"I'm hoping for less, but that's probably the best we can hope for," Vashti replied. "Maybe he'll do something really stupid or illegal or something that gets him kicked out before then." She wasn't sure what that would be besides...well, hurting or killing someone, and she REALLY didn't want THAT to happen, so her best hope was that this would be Shaw's first and last year "teaching."
Ari nodded. Yes, she would learn that lesson and not take anyone for granted anymore.
'Oh, you're an only child too...It's lonely at times, isn't it? But sometimes it's great!' the firstie pondered, thinking how sometimes she wished a sibling while other times she was delighted to be an only child. She smiled when Vashti said her parents were great.
'History is a passion in my family too.' she said, nodding again.
'What do you mean, weird?' the little one chuckled.
'You know, I think we are all weird in our own way.' she added.
'Hmm, yes, you have a point. Another proof that you're a Ravenclaw.' Ariadne laughed, referring to Vashti's argumentation about socializing during classes and Quidditch. About Shaw...
'I went to talk to the Headmaster about him, maybe something will change soon.' Hopefully. Then Ari remembered she had to send a letter to her mum.
'I should get going, I have a letter to send.' she apologized, and waited for Vashti to reply before heading off.
