Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Alfie walked into the Great Hall quietly, her black boots making soft shuffling noises as she entered the grand room, four long tables extended before her; intimidating. Her blue eyes widened just slightly as she viewed them, taking in the sight of the seemingly endless students eating and socializing, they all seemed to know each other. She had her class schedule clutched in her pale hands, her long blonde hair pulled back into a low ponytail and her school bag hanging over her shoulder.
Now...what was it that the headmaster had told her? Ravenclaw. Yeah, that was it. Blue, silver, ravens; Alfie quickly found the table that matched the requirements, spotting the blue banners above one of the long tables. Their robes had the same emblem as her own, though hers seemed to feel much more uncomfortable to her. Everyone else looked just fine in their robes, but she couldn't seem to help but feel a little itchy and warm. She scanned the rest of the hall, not necessarily nervous, but not exactly thrilled either. What was she supposed to do? Walk over to the table and sit down next to some random people?
Alfie sighed softly to herself, seeming to be nonchalant on the outside but freaking out just a little on the inside. She didn't really understand the point of coming to this new school, she didn't understand why she was being tortured with the challenge of finding new friends in a new place at the beginning of her fourth year. Oh, and of all things, she was late. The year had already started, and here she was, trying to mix into the crowd unnoticed. Great.
Feeling the anxiety of dealing with all these people, she quickly decided that she wasn't that hungry in the first place. So if she wasn't hungry, she didn't have to be in this giant hall, right? Right. Alfie turned on her heel quickly and exited the Great Hall just as fast as she'd entered, starting towards another direction. Might as well explore a little, right?
