Perhaps she should have been more concerned with how cold the weather was or that this Herbology lesson was on the strange ship that she had been wondering about for several months, but Vashti was more concentrated on hoping for no human-eating plants this Herbology lesson - or rather, this whole year. She really didn't want to deal with any plants biting her hands off this time. How was she supposed to hold her books and study if her hands were all bandaged and what not? She'd fail all her exams and have to repeat this whole year over again. NOT an appealing thought.

So far, so good, it seemed, when she entered the classroom. There didn't seem to be any evil people-eating plants around, but the sheet-covered tanks didn't escape her notice. But hopefully there wouldn't be any under there either. Maybe they were nice, toothless, mouthless plants. That would be great.

Vashti gently tugged on the Ravenclaw scarf around her neck, loosening its grip slightly, as she greeted the professor with a smile. "Hello, Professor..." Her eyes drifted to the blackboard where, fortunately, the new professor's name was printed. "...Bentley," she finished before taking a seat near the front. Once she had pulled her quill out of her bag, she filled out the attendence card.
