'Why did they change jobs, if you don't mind me asking?'

'Oh, my family...' she hesitated for a while, thinking how to begin. 'My mum is fantastic, she's like a supermum, she can do anything, except cooking, hehe. She's also my best friend. She owns a magical bookshop in Yorkshire and she's very smart and down-to-earth at the same time. We live together in a beautiful house, just the two of us, since I haven't met my dad.' she said nonchallantly. Since coming to Hogwarts and making lots of friends, talking about her family situation wasn't difficult for her anymore. It didn't hurt so much that her father had left before she was even born.

'I have no siblings, though I wish I had. Then there's my uncle Tristan, mum's younger brother. He's a lot younger than her and isn't married yet, so he's more like an older brother to me sometimes. He's extremely funny and outgoing. Of course, I only know my grandparents from my mum's side, the Marchbanks family. I have their last name because my father broke all contact with my mum when finding out she was a witch.' That part still hurt. 'One of my great-grandmothers was Griselda Marchbanks, examiner and member of the Wizengamot, pretty famous in her days. I wish I had met her. ' Ari continued, finally sensing she had talked too much.

'I suppose this is not what you wanted, my whole family tree, right?' the girl chuckled and stopped talking.
Smiling, she said, "Of course I don't mind," and she continued, "Well, before my parents had wanted to take time off from the Wizarding World. When I was born, they promised to dedicate their time to me and since working in the Ministry had kept them busy before, they thought of quitting it and getting a Muggle job so they could be near me. So, yeah, like I said before my dad was a doctor. Built his very own hospital next to our mans-- Err, I mean house. And even if my mum never takes me to go to her concerts since I've never really been allowed beyond the gates of our house, she still makes sure to go early, and be back as soon as she can. Then when she gets home she'll tell me all about how her day went at her performance." Yes, good times really. "But when I reached about 5 or 6, they got this letter and it demanded them to go back to their jobs at the Ministry. I don't know but I suppose there's a threat behind it or else they would never have come back. So that's when all the weirdness happened and they quit their jobs. And, tada, no more time for me. That was when I was mostly left alone at home," Noticing that she was speaking a lot, and may I just repeat A LOT, Zara quickly stopped and smiled apologetically. She must be boring Ari with her boring life.

Zara listened intently as Ari narrated her story about her family. She could never imagine life without her dad. She frowned a bit, but saw that Ariadne seemed okay with it. "That's a nice family you have," she smiled, of course except for the part of Ari's dad. It's a shame he wasn't able to witness Ari be a very successful witch. Yes, Zara knew Ari would be a great witch, and her dad was missing it. He should've been proud and not left them. Hmph. Shame.

Zara chuckled, and pointed to her plate, "Me too!" Yeah, she had a ton of food, but they were almost finished. When she was still beginning, it was piled up with food.

"Hogwarts is fine," she smiled. She's been repeating her answers lately. Of course Hogwarts is fine. At other times she'd answer Hogwarts is fun. And sometimes she says Hogwarts is great. Well, it was the typical answers. She's heard of the question since her first day. "Everything of course." Yes she loved absolutely everything.
