"Zara, his cancer doesn't have a cure that any doctors know of. I'm not really even sure magic would help him. Plus I don't think wizards are allowed to preform magic on Muggles. But that was a really nice suggestion." It was the best they'd come up with so far, but he doubted it's ability to save his dad. They were really in a sticky situation, weren't they? Zara frowned, she was sure her dad could help. He has to. He should. Either way, she was still planning in her mind when she and her dad could visit Christopher.
Deciding to take the plan to action, she asked, "Okay, I'm really sorry. Where do you live?" Yes, she would visit them over the summer. She can't just watch and do nothing after knowing all of this. Besides, it must have taken Christopher a lot to admit it to Zara, whom he only knew just now. Quote:
For DADA Homework.
Zara was back in the Terrace. She couldn't remember it so much but it seemed only yesterday that she's been there. But it was still last September, on her first day. It seemed rather weird to be back. Zara smiled, and looked at the people around her, there were a lot of students. She decided to go sit on one of the chairs at an empty table.
Maybe this was a good time to do her meditating. For 100 minutes. Eep, it seemed very...long. Oh well, she had all term to do it. When he meant 100 minutes, could she probably take 10 minutes each day for 10 days? Or straight out 100 minutes in one? Gahh, this was making her so confused. Why not be specific, mister?
She decided to do it all now. Besides, she had nothing much to do today. Okay, now Zara think. A proper role model? Now who could that be? It was a fine Sunday and Zara was eating cookies and drinking milk as her snack while she was at the Griffiths garden with her grandparents. She loved it whenever Grandpa Johnny and Grandma Eve visited on Sundays. Zara always felt happy, and not lonely anymore since even on weekends her parents were still at work.
Her granda baked different kinds of cookies every time while her granda drank coffee and sat on his favorite chair. They were both wizards, too, since her whole family were purebloods. But now, they've taken a rest from the Wizarding World and sought peace in the Muggle world. After their snack at the garden, her grandma would always accompany her at the large wooden swing in the Griffiths playground where Zara always played alone, since she had no friends before--well, she wasn't allowed to have ones. There, her grandmother would tell her stories. Different beautiful stories. Zara always looked forward to her grandma's stories and always found happiness in them. One of them was about this young dog who couldn't let out a bark like the rest so he was laughed at by his peers. But the young dog persisted, and always tried. He never gave up until one day, a small butterfly came to him and told him that she had seen his perseverance and would reward him. So she let out this sparkling dust above him and disappeared after. The next day, the dog wondered if it was all a dream, but he tried barking like he always does and surprisingly, he succeeded. Zara never knew that there was a moral behind her grandma's stories. She only knew that she loved them because of the interesting characters and plot. But now, looking back, it suddenly hit her. Her grandma was trying to say all along never to give up. That's it! Never give up. Though in life, we can't always meet that little butterfly, we can find it within ourselves.
Life always has happy endings, so a person's must not complain if his life isn't currently full of happiness and peace. For if your life isn't happy yet, it still isn't the end. She always looked at her grandma as a source of inspiration. Zara believed her to be a strong and kind woman, always extending help to others though she herself needed a bit of help.
Yes, her Grandma Eve was her role model. She was her inspiration. She was the person she looks up to. Though at that time, Zara knew nothing about magic and that her grandmother was magical, she still believed her grandma to be the best. She knew she was someone great. Though as of now, she has left the world, Zara knew Grandma Eve's in a better place. Zara knew her grandma was happy. She knew her grandma had her happy ending already. She never gave up trying to find her happiness, and that's what she wants to tell Zara also. To find happiness in the most darkest times. Deciding that her thoughts have gone so far, Zara then realized that what she had just done was already meditating. Wow, she's done it without even knowing. She took her pocket watch out with the name 'Danielle Zara' engraved on the front. Zara opened it and saw that she's been doing this for about two hours and a half now. Not bad, Zara. She stood up suddenly and placed her pocket watch back inside her bag and whispered to herself, "Never give up." She smiled and walked away.
