Ouch. Neptune sort of knew how that felt. She just quietly started them walking again. Not much to say to all of that. Dating your best friend's ex-girlfriend simply because they were pretty was dumb by anyone's standards.

"I know when his birthday is Neptune." Finlay had been best friends with Jimmy for nearly 18 years. Of course he knew when his birthday was. He'd also gotten the guy a present, and one from his mother but he didn't even know if he would want them. Maybe they could be a peace offering. But he doubted it.
"I did when I told him..." That hadn't really ended well. Finlay walked alongside her, stuffing his hands into his pockets. He was really down right now. "He won't even let me talk to him....how can I apologise when he won't listen to me."
