She wasn't sure how a cactus compared to a parrot in terms of a pirate pet, but it certainly would give him something to remember him by that was much neater than some fluffy feather sticking out of a hat.
"It did move!" she chirped as she jumped up and down. Not enough for there to be any change in the boat however. "I am not sure. If we are talking people our size, then perhaps 10? Or, if we had a giant help us it may only take the three of us." Hey, a girl could dream, right? "Do you think the giant squid is what is keeping this boat in place? I suppose we would have to tickle him to set sail properly.
Ten students seemed about right, one for each handle? The wheel was very heavy and it seemed difficult to steer, which was very inconvenient and was probably be the reason why there had been so many shipwrecks. The captains couldn't steer the ship fast enough and it sailed right into a gigantic rock! It made sense that they would use giants to steer it, but then that would mean they would have to be somewhere on the ship, right? Maybe they were in the hold or the captain's cabin. "We should go to the captain's cabin." Eino suggested as he looked around trying to locate it.
"It is strange that it's not moving... Unless we missed the anchor." Eino couldn't see that no matter how hard he looked. "So maybe it could be." The squid seemed really smart from what he had seen during a History of Magic lesson a year ago. "I suppose so, too, but how could we tickle it?" Should they just cast the tickling spell to the water randomly? What if they made the entire merpeople population tickle? That wouldn't be very good.
