The sound of her own heart pounding in her ears muffled the sound of Ivan coming up behind her.

She jumped about 5 feet off the ground, it seemed, and she let out a loud YELP as she spun around with her hand over her heart and stumbled backward a bit.

"Ivan Vorpatril! You are such a nuisance sometimes!" she said as she jabbed her wand at his tummy hoping to poke him.
