Birthday of Hogwarts??! He had no idea!
Upon hearing the first question, Jamie paused to think then raised his hand, "Jamie Keaton, Slytherin... Erm, is it about... 1,000 years?" Approximately, of course. Jamie knew no dates to the exact day and year. Quote:

So that would make it quite oldd....over a 1000 years old, considering that we are in 2074 now...?" Yup. He was totally cool. Quote:

When was Hogwarts formed? Probably over a thousand years ago, that's for sure. Her grandfather's grandfather's grandfather probably studied in Hogwarts. Raising her hand, she said, "Danielle Zara Griffiths, Gryffindor. Professor, my parents have told me that it was founded over a thousand years ago, though I'm not sure of the exact year." Quote:

But now to the lesson. With some candy in one hand the third year raised the other."Feenella Schwarzberg,Slytherin professor",she said,"Hogwarts is over 1000 years old."Thinkiong about this made the girl realize how old this house actually was, being a part of it was so amazing. There was so much history to it and fro two years Fee was now a part of it.Wow. Really though, as she swung her feet back and forth under her desk, she wondered when professors were going to realize that the more stuff there was to look at, the less likely she'd be to pay attention to the actual content of the lesson? And she was sure she wasn't the only one.
And she wanted cake. Quote:

Listening to her explanation and question, he frowned. It should be review for him, but so much of his history the past few years had been French. When and why Beauxbatons was founded. Nothing about Hogwarts.
And so he sat and listened. His guess of over 1000 years seeming to be accurate as he listened to others. Quote:

I'm a Ravenclaw," she introduced herself with a smile, feeling a little silly, before continuing."I think Hogwarts is about one thousand sixty years old, give or take ten or twenty?" Quote:

At least that explained all the confetti and everything else and... there was confetti in Helena's hair. And she didn't like it. Not in her hair! As for the question... The girl raised her hand. "It has to be over one thousand years old." Most probably. Buuuut she was forgetting something. "Oh," she added quickly. "My name is Helena Hopkins. Slytherin." She was grinning now. Because she was a baaaad little snake. Hehe. Quote:

She raised her hand." I think it would be as Arabella said over 1000 years old, probably about 1100 or close to that tobe precise if we take into account the years following the downfall of Voldemort and Voldemortist." Quote:

Not a cop out at all. She genuinly didn't know Quote:

It actually came as a shock to him that he knew the answer. Or at least he thought he knew it. He raised his hand anyways. "Isn't it like really old? Over 1000 years, I think." he said. Ahem. OLD HOUSE, OLD HOUSE! Quote:

Awesome.
'Hello Professor,' Daisy smiled, she had already met the teacher, and she seemed really nice. 'I like the room.' she added, sitting down next to Oakey and looking around at the drinks and cake.
Hello Professor, Oakey greet the Professor properly and sat down at the Hufflepuff table. Still thinking THE CAKE IS A LIE![/s]
'Hi, Oakey,' Daisy grinned, taking a bottle of ketchup out of her bag If half the teachers were insane - why couldn't she be? 'Yes, I like cake with ketchup.' she laughed before Oakey could laugh.
'Isn't it thousands of years old, but nobody is exactly sure?' asked Daisy, her hand raised. She was not sure that it was right but she wanted to try in this class, and the best way to start is answering questions. Quote:

Gemma smiled as hands went up all over the classroom and almost all of them were correct....well that's a good start a class even if it was a simple question. " Good job everyone! It isn't exactly known when the founders started Hogwarts, but it was around 1100 years ago. It's kind of amazing to think that Hogwarts has been around for that long and that we, as a whole, have overcome so many struggles and tribulations along the way." she focused back in realizing that she was kind of being a History nut for a minute.
She pointed her wand to each table as she spoke the next things. When her wand was pointed towards a table, a clear holographic crest of the house would appear over the table and remained over the table.
" Now we all know that Hogwarts was founded by four extraordinary wizards/witches." she flicked her wand towards the red table, " Godric Gryffindor" the holographic crest of the house appeared and spun slowly over the table. She pointed it towards the blue table and a crest appeared. " Rowena Ravenclaw" She repeated the process at the other two tables, " Helga Hufflepuff." and " Salazar Slytherin." "Each wizard was known for their amazing talents and successes within the wizarding world and were known as pioneers of their time, which was a very hectic time, but we will get to that later on....if we have time..." she flicked her wand the crests stopped moving but were still their see-through versions.
She turned the wand towards the big and long board behind her and flicked it. Instantly the board was divided evenly into the four colors of the houses. "I have charmed the board to keep track of your responses." she said and then she said each house name again and the board magically began writing out the name of each house in the professor's handwritting over the appropriate color division. "In order to help it keep track of your answers, make sure you always say your name followed by your house and then your answer." she said with a little nod and one final flick.
She glanced over at the long table covered in decorations against the wall, "Before I ask my next question, please feel free to have a drink." she flicked her wand and instantly the cups spread out across the room and landed in front of each student followed by the correctly colored punch bowl that floated around the room filling up cups. " I hope you like the drinks, they are muggle flavored Kool-aid in the color of your house. I think the flavors are Cherry, Blueberry, Pineapple, and Apple."
She turned her complete attention towards the class. " Now I want you to share one thing that you know about the founder of your house, such as appearance, where they were born, what they were known for, skills, artifacts related to them or your house, attributes, etc. Let's make sure to stay away from hearsay or rumors, please." she said glancing out at the students. " Please try to only answer one thing so that everyone can have a chance to answer." OOC: Please remember to post only one answer to the question. Also say your house and your name before you answer. And don't edit your posts please! I will be back later but remember eventhough I'm not here Gemma is here. No fighting or chatting. Thanks!
