Kurumi watched Connor for a moment and she tried to keep her facial expression as neutral as possible so as not to bring too much attention to the older boy. Kurumi was only partially aware of his family situation and had heard the story both from him and his adoptive mother. Last time Connor had spoken about his adoptive father, he had called him Da...or Dah....or something to that extent. Kurumi hadn't entirely picked up on Connor's accent. She would have to talk to him in private about the change, but now wasn't the place.

"It is," she nodding smiling. "I actually got these cherry blossom petals from a tree I planted during my first year with..." Kurumi paused for a moment, but didn't frown like she usually did. No, this time she had a good memory and it wasn't as painful to think of as it had been before. "...with Adam."
