Kurumi then turned to Connor and Hugo to see what was happening with them, the saucepan, and the apples.

The sweet smell of sugar and lemon filled the kitchen as Hugo's concoction came to a boil. "I have to admit, I thought the same thing," she giggling taking the spoon from Hugo and giving it one last stir. "I just didn't want to say it out loud. That is how I got a bone removed in Potions last term." After giving the pan's contents another stir, Kurumi scooped a tiny bit out, set it on a small plate, and taste tested it. "It's perfect," she nodded turning her attention to Connor now. "You can add the apples now."

Before getting back to prepping the ramekins, Kurumi walked over to where Heather was working and checked on her eggs. They still looked a bit soupy. "I think you need to beat them a bit more," Kurumi said picking up the spoon and watching the watery substance ooze off.

Kurumi then returned her attention to her task and began preparing the ramekins. She first made collars for each of them out of parchment folded each in half along its length and once more to give the ramekins a thicker piece at the base to stabilise the collar and then wrapped those around the ramekins and flicked her wand to charm the pieces to stay glued together.

With that done, she turned to the others to see how they were doing...and her stomach began to grumble.

Perhaps just one scoop of the chopped apples?

It was a bit...soupy. "Okay." Heather said and took the spoon and beat the egg whites once more. Time to do it right, at least.

She then decided to take the bowl and mix it with one hand. Heather remained quiet in order to focus stirring the mixture until it was stiff at the peak, as what Kurumi had told her. The mixture was beginning to be a little stiff now, but she decided to keep mixing and beating it; just in case.
