Kurumi glanced over at Heather and wondered if it would be save for the girl to handle a knife or not. She supposed that with Mr. Panda watching it wouldn’t be a problem but, just to be safe, Kurumi decided to set Heather with the task of mixing the egg whites.

“Heather, you can mix the egg whites in that bowl over there,” she said gesturing towards a glass bowl on the counter. Seeing as electronics didn’t work at Hogwarts, Heather was in for some serious arm exercise. "You need to beat them until they can make a stiff peak..." Which should keep Heather out of trouble for the time being. Worst that could happen would be her pouring the stuff all over herself.

SPOILER!!: Hugo! I LUFFLES YOU!

As Kurumi got a bit cranky, Hugo immediately regretted what he said. He didn't understand it. Kurumi was hurt. And Hugo wouldn't understand what it felt like untless it happened to him. "You're right..." Hugo said absentmindedly thinking about what would happen if he lost Fee. He would feel dreadful. Would he be able to get over that at all?

A bit of anger striked Hugo. "That kid drives me crazy," he said, frowning and looking around the room. William had made him SO angry when he kept on talking about how to treat a girl properly by objectifying them. Fee didn't seem to mind that William's only description of Fee could be "hot". There was so much more to her than that. Just thinking about it Hugo worked himself up getting angry again. He looked up from the ground at Kurumi's face which had turned sad and Hugo couldn't be angry anymore. He was worried about her. What she said... Was beautiful. He looked in Kurumi's eyes appreciatively. "Kurumi..."

WHAT. WAS. HAPPENING. "Ouch!" Hugo exclaimed as Kurumi stepped on his foot. WHAT WAS THIS STRANGER DOING HARR. Hugo frowned at the boy who had just interrupted their very private conversation. How annoying at this emotional moment. Kurumi didn't seem to be annoyed. She looked very awkward.

Hugo sighed a bit and decided to be nice. He smiled at Connor. "Hi Connor," Hugo said softly exidentally being stuck in the sensitive talky mode which had violently cut to a whole other situation. "Yeah, it's okay," Hugo nodded and smiled slightly at Connor. Then he saw Connor's mood change almost instantly when he looked up. Ahw come on. She was barely touching Hugo.

Hugo couldn't help but chuckle a bit on the inside at Kurumi's straight-up answer now that Connor was here. "You're probably right," he nodded. "I think... I think I meant it." Yes. He probably had.

Hugo chuckled at the sight of Kurumi speaking to the elf. Hugo wasn't very used to interaction with elves, so it would be best he would stay out of it.

Hugo lifted an eyebrow at Connor's gentlemanlyness. It almost seemed like... This fellow liked Kurumi. Hugo wasn't sure how he thought about this. Kurumi could use a distraction from hopeless longing for a boy who was in Mexico... But what if he broke her heart? Hugo wasn't going to let that happen a second time. He was going to keep an eye on this Connor. Yes. A friendly eye though, because he did like the guy.

Still standing near the opening, Hugo awkwardly watched the two interacting and Kurumi slowly forgetting about him. "Umm... Can I do one of those?" Hugo asked, approaching the table and pointing to an apple.

ANOTHER PERSON? Kurumi was popular. Well, their privacy was already invaded anyway. Might as well have another person in this thingeh.

Yes. Hugo would've liked to meet Heather too. But he didn't get introduced. Sighh. Did Kurumi even remember Hugo was still there? Third wheel, much? He smiled a little at the new girl in the kitchen as he leaned back against the counter.

Losing herself in all the excitement of technically running her first proper baking lesson at Hogwarts, perhaps she ought to put those posters she had made last term up around the school after all, Kurumi had forgotten to introduce Hugo to Heather.

“Oh Hugo!” she squeaked bowing over and over to him in apology. “I am so sorry. This is Heather. She is my best friend in Gryffindor and that is Mr. Panda.” It seemed like many of her friends at Hogwarts kept the company of strange things, but Eino still took the cake with Faustus. “Heather, this is Hugo. He is in Ravenclaw and is another of my best friends.” Kurumi’s cheeks flushed a bit and she attempted to hide the face by sticking her face back into her cookie notebook.

Looking back up at Hugo, she pointed to a portion of the page. “Hugo, do you think you could take care of the simmering aspect of the dish? You just need to mix the cider, lemon zest, lemon juice, and sugar until they begin to boil. After, once Connor is finished with the apples, we will add those and they you need to keep stirring until the mixture becomes mushy.” She gestured towards the counter where everything had already been measured out. "Twinkle and I already finished the measurements, all you need to do is mix and stir." Almost like in Potions, but she left that fact out JUST in case Professor Lafay decided to magically appear in the kitchen and deduct house points for comparing potion brewing to cooking.

"I am glad to hear that," Kurumi chirped as she leaned over to inspect his apple chopping. "I think another apple or so and then we can add it to Hugo's saucepan once it starts boiling." Kurumi glanced back at her notebook. Time for her to take care of the more difficult portion of the dessert.
