Shaw looked at the students, SMILED with all his teeth, and then scratched. "You know why? What's them words mean? Fera Verto? Them's Latin."
Sierra sat lounged back in her seat, her narrowed eyes studying this Shaw man while she tried to figure out what in the name of Hades he was going on about. She wanted
power, but he'd moved on from that question faster than she could shove through a line of Puffers to get to the chalk board.
She sighed, realizing that only half of the lesson was making sense. At least he seemed to know
one transfiguring spell.
"Fera Verto," she said, finally speaking up and repeating the Latin words he'd called out to them.
"It means," she started, pausing because she was only half sure of what she was saying,
"...well, fera means 'wild animal' and verto means 'to turn around'..." She
thought.
"It's used to turn an animal into a goblet."
Her eyes flickered over to Shaw, who'd busied himself with trying to teach Destiny how to rev up that chainsaw.
Could he even hear her?! Wait...someone had given Destiny a chainsaw?!?!
