"Of course I'll tell them. Girls aren't boys, Mikey. They won't think I'm a coward; they'll think that you're a terrible person for being so mean to a little girl. A sixth year picking on someone who doesn't even know a single spell." She reached out with her free hand and offered a conciliatory pat to his head (since he went and lowered it for her), "Girls don't like mean boys."

And she felt her mouth give a teensy tiny twitch up at the red spot on his leg, "I'd be more worried about boys finding out how you got that, if I were you. Since boys do care about stuff like that."

Her brother, case in point, had tried to dismiss the single fight he'd got into, because he didn't want people to know he'd been decked in one hit. And that fight was with a boy his age, not a firstie girl.
