Rebecca walked out of the girl's dorms with her journal and a quill and into the common room so that she could write a letter. The fire was cracking and making her miss her home. At her house, every evening her father would light a fire in the fireplace. Rebecca, her brother Jason, and her sister Ashley would always sit around it telling ghost stories or other types of stories. "Mom and Jason will be happy to hear from me," she thought. She then went to the desk near the wall and began writing three letters, one to Jason, one to Ashley, and one to her parents.

When Rebecca finished writing her letters, she folded them, put them in envelopes and wrote her house address on each of them. She then decided that she would mail the letters the next day. So she went back to the girl's dorms for the night.
