More polite people, UNLIKE THAT MAN WITH THE WAVY HAIR... *ahemcough* "You're very welcome, kind sir," he stated, grinning as he realized that he'd made someone happy, REALIZING that he was spreading the happiness through the woooooorld. This was the first step and this man evidently showed that this mission was a proven success.
PROVEN. SUCCESS. Quote:

Might as well get the introduction bit over with. "I'm Noah Harper, though I just go by Harper... I recently got the senior botanist job." Rain noticed another man join the room, and he grinned, very eager to meet everyone in the Department. He skipped towards the man, happy as a bumblebee, wanting to spread the luuuuuurve even more and he bowed like a gentleman, offering the man... a flower. He would enjoy flowers yes? Who wouldn't? This was the Environmental Department--everyone should enjoy these lovely gifts that he offered.
Yes. "Pleased to meet you," he paused, intrigued by this man's name. Harper? Like the harp? WHAT A LOVELY INSTRUMENT! And his brain was immediately wired to think of this man as ... a gift from the heavens... a multi-stringed instrument... and he boooowed even more.
This man's name was just a blessing. And he and Mother Nature certainly enjoyed it. Quote:

Instead he focused on the small speech the man was giving that could be compared to the ones he'd received from the lad by the fountain if they hadn't been so joyful and just a bit more poetic. Maybe more than a bit. "I am glad you and Mother Nature are so well acquainted, Rain." He nodded his head, amusement present. Ah, what he had been hoping to hear from one of his heads. Work talk. "Right now I would like you to get settled in and acquainted with those who are in your division. Make sure they know their stuff and if not..." He shrugged. Rain liked to educate, right? He'd let the man educate those who worked under him first.
Though they should ALREADY be well educated, Rafa didn't hire anything less than the best. "You are?!" But he coughed and tried to sound more professional--this was his boss of course. He observed the man even more and made a note to himself that he should try his very best to impress the man, as if he didn't already. "I mean... you are! Hooray! So are you, I presume, yes? YES!"
And when the boss suggested that he get acquainted with his workers, he raised his hand, saluting. "SIR YES SIR!" Quote:

It was going to be nice getting paid for what he did already. He had considered at home whether to bring some of his less touchy experiments to the new department and decided against it. After all, he would have to make sure the greenhouses had been appropriately prepped, and there may be other experiments interfering with his work. ANOTHER ONE!
Exciting! They all just decided to swaaaaarm in, all at once, and he loved meeting new people! "YOU!" he greeted as he made his way to his workplace, patting the man's shoulders. "My name's Rain! What's yours? Hmm?" He questioned, looking at the man, eye to eye. OH HE ALMOST FORGOT. "A flower for you!" He took one flower from the bundle he's been holding, motioning for him to take.
TAKE IT. SNIFF IT. BE HAPPY!
The magic of flowers. Quote:

A SPINNING CHAIR!
Eyes widening with obvious excitement, he made his way over to HIS desk and HIS chair, nodding his greeting at everyone he passed. He didn't have time to talk or observe the people right now, there was a chair that needed to be spun on! work to be done! Placing his bag down on top of his desk, Gilbert took his seat.
..he'd wait for the boss man to leave before he got to spinning.
Unless, of course, the boss man wanted to spin with him? He eyed the man up, mentally asking that question. ANOTHER ONE?!
This man was suspicious. IT WAS AS IF HE WAS PLANNING... a slllyyyyyyy movie. But nontheless, Rain threw a flower at his desk, and excitedly greeted with a waving hand. Hehe. Quote:

Hair pulled back always it was. Pulling a band out from her pocket, she quickly threw her hair into a messy bun at the base of her neck, before her hair decided to poof out the next time someone opened that door.
Women's briefcase slung over her shoulder and resting on her hip, she tapped her fingers lightly against the leather as she moved toward her desk, watching the others out of the corner of her eye.
She wasn't exactly sure how she landed an assignment here (in DERP, she internally sighed. Our department is *derp* Honestly, who makes these decisions...)
Walking past a man already seated, she smiled and gave a short nod of the head. So many new faces and names to learn...
Oh! And there was boss man! She smiled and stopped her walk to see if he would address them. Rain had spotted his assigned area already, but then stopped himself... FOR ANNNOOOTHER ONE! PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE! Everywhere. It was a girl this time! Was this one of Mother Nature's worker too? He studied her, leaning left to right as his eyes were placed on hers. Hmm. "Hi," he simply stated and he took a step backwards, to get a better look at this woman.
Was she a hippy? Was she single? He honestly didn't know. "I'm Rainbow. A flower for you, madame," he said, patting her on the shoulder and then awkwardly skipping away. Quote:

After making a mental note to do so, his eyes narrowed at Rain and sat down at his own desk. Rain's desk was on the other side of the room, correct? Because, sitting across from hair as insulting as the water buffalo's would put him into a coma.
"Hair that only a mother could love," he said with a sarcastic smile as he returned to his desk and pretended to flip through his ranger manual. Rain glanced back at this WAVY-HAIRED man, wondering how he could do that to his hair. Was it environmental? The man said so. THERE WAS NO TRUST WHATSOEVER THOUGH! Why couldn't they have just met, become the best of friends, become those workers that would always ask, "Good morning! Want some coffee, Bob???" But no! There was a distinct hatred emitting from that man (Rain rejected hate, he merely uh... semi-disliked this man?)
But was it his fault?! He was almost about to reconcile with the man when he made one of the most surpriiiiiiising sentences of the day.
No. "So does my father!" Mighty proud of his hair too. Hmph. And with that, he continued to twirl his hair, and skipping to his work area. Quote:

He'd reached his desk. But he eyed this other girl, who was sitting near him. Hmm?! "Hi!" He greeted himself, wondering if he'd given this girl a flower already. "I'm Rainbow," he greeted and then glanced at her picture of her kids and a dog. "What a beautiful dog you have! What's his name? Are you in my division?"
Cute dog.
