Continuing (or rather, starting) his self-guided tour of the grounds, Dallin started down the slope of the lawn toward the willow. He planned on walking around it before going somewhere else, but something stopped him.

Was that girl wearing a crown?

He slowed his pace, looking at the girl curiously. Yes that was a crown. Of some sort. It was a... a girly crown, and Dallin didn't know the technical name. But besides the crown, the girl was also wearing a weird emotion on her face. Was that anger? Disappointment?

"Look," he said, walking up to the girl. "Whatever the tree did to you, I'm sure it's sorry. You really shouldn't be upset with it." Plus, it really didn't have a way of knowing that it offended someone. Just because it moved didn't mean it had a brain.
