Nika sent Elaine a smile, but it was weak. She couldn't stand there smiling being all cheerful when her best friend was having a break down. She turned her attention back to Emily as she was the one in need right now.

"I'm..." she was about to say fine but looking between her two friends she flet herself blow up in tears. "No, everythings not alright."
She walked over to Elaine and stroked her owl, tears still coming down her face. "Happy is really nice." she commented to Elaine taking an owl treat from the bag and giving him one. Now where was Sunny?
She stood by the window and stared between Nika's pink and Elaine's blue hair. "I... I g-got a l-letter." she stammered taking the pieces from her pocket and throwing them out the window. Time to talk. "You know how I'm adopted right? Well I never knew my mam. She was a witch, but left m-me at b-birth..." she felt her knees hit the floor again. She coudn't. She never cried, never. "I just got a letter from my b-birth mam, and..."
She exploded again, sobbing into her own arms. Her birth mam was back. But the words woudn't form in her mouth. She wanted to tell her friends, but the idea this woman would leave her at birth then want her back was upsetting to her.
Nika walked towards Emily and put her hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Em, stay strong." She gave her friend a small squeeze and pushed Emily's chin up with her finger so they were looking into eachother's eyes.
"Emily what ever happens I'm here for you. I will always be there for you, no matter what." She didn't know what else to say. Even though Nika was feeling uneasy about her sister Emily's situation was getting worse.
"Maybe you should send her a letter back Em. Maybe you should try and talk to her." Nika didn't know why she was saying anything at the moment but the words just wouldn't stop.
"Now that you know she's out there wouldn't you like to talk to her? I bet she had a good reason to give you up. What if she just couldn't afford to keep you? I think you should give her the benefit of the doubt and write her back." Nika just didn't understand why Emily was so upset, but she tried her hardest to put herself in Emily's shoes.
