Iris liked seeing Jimbo happy. Anything less than that was just... not right. Jimbo shouldn't be unhappy or miserable. It didn't suit him.

The girl watched as Jimbo's eyes caught sight of something. She smiled a little, sheepishly. She'd never told him about the badge... but then again, Iris hadn't seen Jimbo during the summer, since getting the letter. Taking a bite out of her own cookie, Iris spoke up again. "But... we can, if you really want." It'd be silly. And fun... pretending to be Jimbo. She wasn't sure how much she'd trust him pretending to be her, though. Hehe.

Jimbo looked back up at her when she spoke again. For a moment he'd just been enjoying the silence between them. He still didn't feel much like talking but it was different with Monty. This small chat with her was making him feel better than ever. He remembered the last time they'd seen each other and smiled. Monty was quite the friend.

He finished chewing the bite he had just taken from his cookie and smirked at the head girl. Reaching over, he ruffled her hair just a bit. "I wouldn't mind." he answered, bringing his hand back to his side. It had occurred to him as well, the badge. "It would be fun docking points from other houses and bossing first years around."

Not that Monty did that sort of thing at all, but rather he would, if he had the badge.

He chuckled. He had never had much of an interest for being a prefect or anything of the like. However, if he did have the badge for a day he figured that's exactly how he would use it.

He finished eating his cookie and wiped his hands on his robes. "I missed you, Monty. My summer was rather boring."
