"What?" she said turning from the charms teacher to face Elaine again.
"Oh, um, yeah I guess. It's for people active in class and who do homework and just put that bit of extra effort in ya know?" She blew on her soup and took a few sips before looking back at the staff table.
"Anyway. Next to Descoteaux is the new Care of Magical Creatures teacher, then the Astronomy teacher who we didn't have last year so I don't know anything about them." She checked her watch and fiddled with sleeve.
"Then is the Arithmancy teacher, Professor Hadley. She's really nice and supportive." She gave great advice. But kindda got uncomfortable if someone started to cry in class though.
"And the empty seat on the end is for the Ancient Runes professor. And that's all the professors on the left side."
Merlin, she never remembered this many teachers last year!
"On Tates right is the groundskeeper Mister Stryker. He's french." She said french with some emphasis, like they were special or something.
"Then is the nurse. I don't know her name. Nika will, she had to visit her twice last year! Then are the new Herbology and History of Magic teachers, then madame Donovan..." With her scary black hair.
"Professor Zookara is next. He teaches muggle studies and lastly is Professor Lafay. A.K.A the dragon lady." she whispered this part. She may be far away, but she woudn't put it past her to be able to hear her.
"Don't mess with her if you want to... live." Yeah, that was about it.
"And them empty seat if for Transfiguration... and that's about it." Wow, that was a lot to take in. She needed more soup now.
