"I'm sure you joining us for dinner will make my evening much more enjoyable." He smiled at her. He didn't mind her being here. Not at all.
"Ermm...." Finlay glanced back up at the staff table, trying to see Tate's expression. "I'm sure he would've mentioned something to us if there was something wrong...." He mused, as he put some chips onto his plate. Such a boy, always thinking about Food. "But....Lord Borr is teaching! Isn't he like the minister of magic too?" Which was really weird. Shouldn't he be looking at the ministry instead of the school...? Sophie had to take a moment and go over in her head what Finny just said before she replied with a beam. "That's settled then. I'm staying for dinner to keep you company. I don't want you to be unhappy." She shot a glance over at the Gryffindor table but Patroclus wasn't signalling a crisis so Sophie settled in her seat more comfortably and started to help herself to the potatoes and meatballs and an assortment of other foods. At the feast she couldn't stop herself from trying a small piece of everything. It was like that every year.
Pushing a meatball into her mouth she listened to Finny's musing about the headmaster Tate's speech. "I'm sure you are right, but I don't like it when he leaves out the most important bit of the whole speech it unnerves me and I don't like having to worry about something when I don't know if I should worry in the first place. Ermm." Drinking some pumpkin juice she wondered if Finny got any of what she just said. Her logic reasoning was a bit off sometimes. At the mention of Lord Borr Sophie made a big grimace and shivered slightly "Don't mention that man! Why couldn't we be taught by Professor Truebridge or someone? It would've been safer and less dramatic." Sigh, didn't Lord Borr have a whole ministry to run anyway?
