Rolling her eyes she said, "Yes and he and I were since he was the one I told about the house to begin with. I think we can have some epic parties there. I may even more there... you know, during holidays until I graduate and all. I can't live in that flat with Dylan anymore... or in Oxfordshire." She gave a little SHUDDER at the thought of remaining with Dylan... or in Oxfordshire. It was like TORTURE.
"I can't understand WHY he has monkey fear... Rufus is the sweetest thing in the whole world. He gives me little monkey hugs and kisses and sleeps in my bed at night. Sweetest. Thing. Ever." FACT!
Yeah they would. Jim nodded just once and then went right on back to his own personal version of acting like everything was just FIIIIINE. Because.. well... thats what he'd been doing for the past few months and getting good at it now too.
"Well you can count on me to show up." Grin.
"I know. Its very interesting. I wonder if its a condition or something? A phobia maybe?" He turned to look at Ivan all critically as if he were a healer eyeing up a perplexing case.

Though Dora had a few and his eyes went back over to her.
"All our parties are epic," he said glancing at Lexi and seeing the tears. Glancing at the Slytherin table he grabbed another fork and started spinning it relentlessly. He glanced at James who seemed to be ignoring Finn and sighed. Him and Lexi were good now and yet Finn and James were fighting. Go figure.
"Denial." Jim commented in an aside. "Thats the first sign of the Monkey!fear." He waggled his eyebrows and then cracked up laughing, mind in the gutter from Ivan's next statement.
"Naturally." He agreed and since there was more food than just bread out now, Jim piled his plate HIGH and tucked in.

"I built a new den," he answered with a grin. "And had an awesomeeee swordfight pirate battle." An imaginery one, anyway, with a few rather spectular death-acting performances. "And I climbed plenty of trees. Got a few awesome bruises falling out of one too. Oh, and when I had a short flight off the rope swing." He giggled, eyes bright after having healed from last's terms match. "I did some wood carving too." All very boy-ish and fun things to do of a summer. Plenty of mud and running round and excitement.
Huh? And where was Finn goingggg? He eyed the two guys, suspicious. It was as if they were both keeping a big secret from him. He pursed his lips, perplexed.
"I'm not a big fan of surprises," he stated simply. Just incase they'd arranged something. Because they were all quiet and wary, just like his parents were on his birthday. "But if it's a decent broom..." Well, then he might have to accept it, if he made the team again, of course.
"Well. Lets just say most of what I got up to, you're too young to know about in any detail, yeah?" Jim clarified and ate some potato, offering Spike a cheerful wink.
"A den? What kind? I used to like building snow forts. Built them every Christmas at home, and one year I made an entire warren of 'em. He nodded along absently as Spike went on, Jimmy's mind more on the food he was chowing on. "You never did see the bruises I got from that game, did you?" His. Entire. Body. It had been gnarly.
... what?
Broom?
Jimmy had no clue what Spike was about. He shot another wary look at Finlay.

At. all.
Dora lit up at the compliment.
"No. I was allowed to come. I'm in the red house," She pointed vaguely (she didn't actually know where she was supposed to be sitting) and smiled. Uniform? Wait.. robes? She pouted a little.
"I look like a giant jellyfish," She mumbled eyeing the sleeves of the cloak. But with several handy alterations, her skirt didn't look so daggy. Ahem.
Hearing a familiar voice, she turned, pushing her hair out of her eyes and BEAMING when she saw LEXI. HER fellow Gryfferrawr.
"So we just sit anywhere? It doesn't matter about what house you're in?" She giggled. That would be AWESOME!
"Gryffindor. Like you!" She replied, proudly. It was SO cool!
*blink*
She frowned a little at the look she was getting from the
other boy.
*mumble*
.... High maintenance, Jim decided. He shot this one a friendly grin and then refilled his plate.

"It's not a surprise Spike..." The older boy sighed, smiling at him. If it was a surprise it was a very bad one. Should he tell Spike? He didn't know. The boy was bound to have figured that something was very wrong. "Me and Jim....have fallen out." That was an understatement really. It was a major falling out. Finlay didn't even know if they were ever going to get better. Maybe his and Jimmy's lifelong friendship was over for good.
It felt weird too. To be so close to Jimmy yet feeling so far. Finlay decided that he better talk to someone else. Otherwise he really was going to pine for Jimmy far too much. Oooh. Sophie was here. "Hey Soph..." He smiled at the gryffindor prefect. Now...what was she doing over here?
James narrowed his eyes and quite deliberately angled himself away from Finlay.
Falling out. Falling
out.
No. YOU sir, Mr Carmicheal, have been written the hell off.
He focused all his attention on Lexi and Ivan, and on his food too of course.
